Al Reef exists to answer a specific question: where does a family on an ordinary Abu Dhabi salary actually live? It sits near the airport, well outside the island core, and is built as themed villa clusters — Mediterranean, Contemporary, Desert, Arabian — around a set of low-rise apartment buildings. The appeal is straightforward. Prices per square foot are the lowest of any established community in the emirate, plots are usable, and the community has enough retail, schooling and clinic provision to function day to day rather than sending everyone back to the island for errands. The trade-off is the commute; if you work on Al Reem or Saadiyat, budget properly for it. Rental yields are the highest in this guide, which reflects both the low entry price and steady tenant demand from the same families who cannot buy on the islands.
